A Fun Day at the Zoo!

We spent the day at the Boise zoo.  Cohen is at such a fun age.  We knew he would love it and he did!  He was so excited to see all of the animals!  He really loved the monkeys and birds.  He is quite fascinated with birds lately.  Maybe the fact that we have oh, about a hundred thousand around our house has something to do with it.  It was such a beautiful day out, too!  We loved the time together as a family.  Gosh, I also loved the angus burger I had for lunch too.  It has been awhile since I have had a good burger :)  Here are some pics:

What a handsome little guy.  He looks just like Daddy!

My other little handsome guy.  I am excited by the fact that he is probably going to have mommy's eyes and people say that he looks like ME!  Trey pretty much slept through the zoo trip.

I had to show you one of our favorite monkeys.  If you dare, look close and see why this monkey is kinda funny!  He just lets it all hang out :)

Yep, mommy let him get an icee.  It's all about moderation, right?  That's how I rationalize things sometimes.

There were huge bunnies.  Cohen really liked them.  You have to look pretty close.

Cohen and this little girl were instantly best friends as they watched the sloth bear. The sloth bear was being so cute and pressing his nose against the glass.

Cohen had so much fun going down the giraffe slide over and over and over again.

Three Months Came and Went!

I didn't get his pictures right at three months.  This poor little man was so sick for about a month.  They think he had RSV.  He did so well with it, though.  He never had to stay in the hospital or anything.  He is a trooper.  Trey doesn't have another doctor's appointment until four months.  So, we aren't exactly sure how big he is at three months.  He is definitely growing though.  Here are some updates on baby Trey:
  • Caught pink eye from Cohen 4/9/13 :(
  • Mommy's first trip to store with both kids 4/11/13
  • First time with babysitter 4/12/13
  • Laughed out loud for first time at Cohen dancing 4/18/13
  • Mommy's first day back to work 4/22/13 Wilma Buckley is his nanny :)
  • First trip to ER, probably had RSV 4/24/13 :(
Trey is occasionally sleeping through the night.  He still loves to get his bum changed!  Trey coos and smiles all the time (except for the camera).  Trey hates tummy time.  Trey loves his mama and had a rough time adjusting to the bottle.  He is getting much better, though.  Trey is known for his hair! It is out of control.  I cannot tame it.  It is already down past his ears.  He is literally Cohen's mini me.  He is a pretty laid back kid.  We love this little man to pieces!!!!!  My family (hint to brothers, aunts, uncles and cousins) needs to get out here and meet this little bundle of joy!!!!

Cohen is in that awkward smiling phase. He just doesn't understand how to fake smile :)

Trey is like a little Michael Phelps in the tub!  He loves it!

Cohen's Room

I am finally pretty much finished with Cohen's room.  He is excited to have his own room.  AND, it is official, Cohen is now sleeping in his room.  Mommy and Daddy are so excited.  Maybe we will quit getting kicked throughout the night.  Maybe our backs won't ache so bad in the mornings.  AND, just MAYBE, we will get better sleep at night :)

Cohen's reading corner.  My mom helped me make the pillows and book shelf.

Happy Easter!!!

Easter time!  So many pictures to capture the special time of Easter.  Trey was also blessed on Easter morning.  Scott gives the most amazing blessings.  Trey and Cohen are so blessed to have him as their father.  Cohen had a wonderful time dyeing Easter eggs, hunting eggs with his friends, learning about the Easter bunny and most importantly, learning about Jesus Christ.  Below are some of our memories that we captured...

Cohen had so much fun dyeing Easter eggs on his own for the first time.

Cohen decided that using his hands was the best method.

Trey hanging out while we dyed eggs.

We went over to our friends, the Mcintyres, for some food and an egg hunt.

Cohen, Henley and Heston

Ready to go one their Easter egg hunt.  Cohen got to find the blue ones, Heston the green ones and Henley the pink ones.

 Easter morning!

This picture just truly shows how much they love each other.

 Trey on his Blessing Day!!!!

Thanks Grandma Mangelson for my blessing outfit.
 I love these boys!

Trey slept during Cohen's egg hunt!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.  He lives, our sweet redeemer lives!!!!  That is comfort!!
