The Larsen Family: Induction Day at the Idaho State Capitol Building

On May 3, 2012, Scotty was inducted and sworn in as an attorney of the Idaho State Bar. What a special day! Grandma Mary, Fred, Jan, and Vince was also there to share this special ceremony with us. This ceremony was held at the Idaho State Capitol Building in Boise. That was it. Scott is an official attorney that can go out and take on the big world now :)

This seemed like such a long, yet quick, process all at the same time. Ohio will always be a very special place to us. We both realize how blessed we are and how much we love our family and friends. Scott, Cohen, and I are so grateful for ALL of our family and friends support, love, and prayers. We are so thankful for all of the family fasts that were held in our behalf. We are so grateful for the many kind words of encouragement, love, and support. We KNOW that if it weren't for Heavenly Father's perfect love and mercy and for our wonderful family and friends, we wouldn't be where we are at today! The Lord truly does provide. Our hearts are full.

Just thought I would share some of the things we learned through this journey. We learned that Heavenly Father truly presented a perfect plan. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to atone for us that we may repent. Scott and I have learned a lot about the Atonement through this whole process. It is for us. When we fall short, it is simply there to help us make up the difference by repentance and learning. Through the Atonement we can make our weaknesses become strengths. Scott and I have had many gospel discussions it seems lately. One day, while running, Scott was thinking about the Atonement and came up with his own saying. It goes like this: “The Lord doesn't require you to do “it” all; he requires that you do “your” all. I.e., if you're 100% effort only gets you 1 mile on a 100 mile journey, the Lord will come the other 99 miles to bestow the blessing on you as a result of your faithful efforts, i.e., ‘after all you can do.’” Last but not least, Scott and I have learned that if it is right, there is nothing you cannot accomplish with the Lord's help!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, our silly camera was on the wrong setting when I gave it to Fred to take some pictures of Scott receiving his certificate. So, we really didn't get any of the ceremony because they were all blurry. However, here are a couple that look a little clear :)
