The Christmas 10K!

This was my first year to run the Christmas 10K on the 21st.  I ran it with some good friends from church.  It was extremely chilly and somewhat challenging running in muddy snow.  Half of our race was uphill.  So, part of the race was on pavement and the other was on trail roads.  It was a little strange that none of the roads were even paved; however, the race was still  a lot of fun.  There was Santa, REAL reindeer, costumes, music and hot chocolate before the race and some nice warm soup and bagels waiting for us when we were finished.  Some of the people living in the houses on the route played Christmas music and rang some bells for us, helping us all get in the Christmas spirit that cold morning.  We definitely want to make this a yearly tradition.  It was such a fun event and definitely family friendly!!!! Thanks guys!
