A Christmas to Remember!!!

What a special Christmas this was for us.  Trey's first Christmas and Cohen's first time to really start to understand the true meaning and fun traditions that go with this season.  It really was such a fun thing to watch.  We tried to start talking early to him about the true reason for the season.  One thing is for sure, he knew it was Jesus's birthday and we were happy about that.  We proceeded to teach him about  santa, the reindeer, stockings, presents and everything else that goes with it.  He was so excited when Christmas Eve finally arrived.  Cohen sat out a glass of milk with one orange, one kiwi, one pickle and a skor candy bar for Santa.  We told him Santa needed healthy snacks since he eats cookies and junk everywhere else.  The truth is, we didn't have any cookies or candy in the house besides that candy bar of Scott's.  Christmas Eve was a night that Cohen kept telling us he needed to go to bed so Santa wouldn't pass over the house.  I kind of liked that part of it, a lot!! After the little stinker finally was fast asleep, Scott and I had so much fun getting all of the gifts put together.  There really is a lot of staging that goes in to this whole ordeal.  Cohen got a T-Rex village and Trey got a dinosaur popping ball thingy ma-jig.  Their stockings were full of socks, underwear, books, cups and other miscellaneous fun toys.

Cohen was up bright and early Christmas morning.  He was so excited to see that Santa came.  Trey...could have cared less.  He was just excited to hang out.  It was such a fun and relaxing morning. We started off with a video of Jesus's birth and talked a little more to Cohen about Christmas.  Then, before he almost couldn't handle it much longer, we took turns opening gifts and enjoying our family time together.  I did surprise Scotty with a range finder that he had been wanting oh so very badly.  I think he was completely thrilled :)  He surprised me with some nice boots and accessories.  Later on that evening, we had Scott's parents, Spencer and Aspen out for some Christmas dinner.  What a great day!

We are so very grateful for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!  What a wonderful gift to the world!!!!
Here are some moments that we captured:
