Cohen Turned Three!!

We were so excited to go to Utah and celebrate Cohen's birthday with family down there this year.  Cohen wanted to have a shark birthday party.  Adam and Tera were very generous to allow us to throw his birthday party there and then utilize their pool for some fun swimming times!  Grandpa and Grandma Larsen, Grandpa and Grandma Mangelson, and Adam and Tera's family got to help us celebrate this special day.  Cohen had so much fun and felt so loved on his special day!  Here are some of the moments we captured...

A Daddy & Son Kind of Day!

Scotty and Cohen decided to go and spend a day together. Cohen is really into dragons right now.  Scotty bought Cohen the coolest red dragon he has ever seen.  He was so excited. They played dragons and then they went and watched Monster's University.  Cohen felt so special.  He is so lucky to have Scotty as his father.  Cohen wanted to get some pictures with his Daddy and dragons :)

Trey is Five Months!!

Fredrick Trey Larsen is five months old, already?! Yes, he sure is!  Trey is growing up.  He is not growing BIG, but he is definitely growing older too fast.  He is a petite little guy.  Here is an update on our  little man:
  • No Doctor Appointment This Month
  • First Firework Show This Month on July 3, 2013 in Marsing
  • First Fourth of July/First Baseball Game (Boise Hawks) on July 4, 2013
  • Started Sitting Alone on July 7, 2013
  • Caught Trey Sucking on His Toes for the First Time on July 15, 2013
  • Rolled from Back to Stomach on July 22, 2013
  • First Road Trip to Utah on July 25, 2013
  • Started Solids (Mommy's Homeade Brown Rice Cereal) on July 30, 2013
Mommy's Notes to Trey....
Well, you still are NOT sleeping through the night. You stinker, stinker (as Cohen would say).  You are extremely friendly and smiley to everyone.  There is absolutely no stranger danger. You love to babble and scream.  You are now averaging a little more milk at one time in your feedings with Daddy and Wilma.  You take 4-5 oz. every three or four hours...sometimes more.  You still wear some 3 month clothing :) However, you really like your solids so now maybe we can put a little chunk on that body!

Trey doesn't mind the water.  He doesn't get overly excited, unless he is in the bath and then he turns into Michael Phelps :)

This little guy is trying to get his hands on everything. I turned my back for one second and he decided to dump all of Daddy's sunflower seeds and try to eat the fruit.

A Happy Father's Day!

These pictures melt my heart.  I love my boys.  We enjoy this special day that allows us to celebrate the wonderful fathers in our lives.  We are so grateful for them.  We are especially grateful for our loving Heavenly Father and his wonderful plan of happiness.  We are so grateful for our mortal fathers, Vince and Fred.  They helped shape and mold us in to the people we are today.  We appreciate and love all they have done for us.  And, I know Scotty and I's boys are so grateful for him.  Scotty is such a wonderful father and Cohen and Trey are so very lucky.

Cohen picked out his and Scott's shoes for church! I don't think Scotty really agreed with the decision; however, he was a good Daddy and played along...

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful fathers!!!!!

Cohen's Gone Fishing!!

This was Cohen's first time to go fishing.  He was so excited to go; however, I think he thought catching a fish would be so much easier than it actually was.  The poor guy didn't catch anything :( We probably didn't go at the right time to increase his chances, but he loved casting it out and reeling it back in.  He did not like to just sit there and wait so he chased and fed the ducks in between.  Mr. Trey liked sitting there letting the wind blow through his hair.  Then, he decided to eat and take a nap.  Scotty went on a run while Cohen and I did some more fishing.  Then, we propped up his pole and fed the ducks.  One of the ducks caught two fish and swallowed them whole right before our eyes.  I had NO idea that ducks even ate fish.  I thought it was crazy.  It was like that duck was just swimming along laughing at us and our efforts to catch one of those stinking fish and he just dips his little head in the water and pulls one right out in front of us.   I've got to give it to the duck...he's got some skills :)  All in all, we had a wonderful time together as a family.  Cohen is ready for round two!

Mr. Cohen

Daddy teaching Cohen all about the art of fishing!

I remember fishing with my Dad when I was a little girl but if anyone saw me trying to cast...they would have laughed their tooshy off.  I thought I was going to "hook" one of us eventually.  I got better after Scotty helped me out!

Four Months and Growing!

Oh my!  Time really flies with the second one.  Trey is just growing and growing.  He is little, but he is still growing.  It makes me sad.  However, he is getting so fun already.  Here are some updates on our Trey boy!!
  • Trey started laughing out loud somewhere at the end of April/beginning of May
  • Started rolling up on to side 5/5/13
  • Rolled over from tummy to back two times in a row 5/9/13
  • First trip to the zoo 5/25/13
  • Trey had his four month appointment and shots on 6/4/13
    • 13lbs 10 1/2oz.=15%
    • 25 1/4"=50%
    • 42cm=50%
Neeeeedless to say, Trey is still a very inconsistent sleeper.  Some nights he sleeps through the night while others he can wake up every three hours or so.  Hopefully soon, mommy will get to sleep the whole night through :)  He still loves to change his bum.  Trey probably averages 4oz every 3 hours or so.  He loves to stand and play.  He even tolerates tummy time a little better.  Trey has started to drool and chew on EVERYTHING.  I think he is prepping for a couple little teeth.  I hope he waits a little longer.  Nursing is not fun through the biting stages.  BUT, Trey might be different than Cohen.  Mommy can only hope he skips the biting stage :)
